CORE GUITAR CLASSES

GUITAR 1-B

Learn new songs, strumming patterns, and playing techniques to build on the skills introduced in Guitar 1-A. You'll learn new right hand techniques and more advanced first position chords while building your repertoire of songs.

Review the basic chords and strums while introducing hammer-ons, easy scales, alternating bass, arpeggios, melody exercises and tablature.

GUITAR 3-B
Focus on any number of skills including arranging, performing, theory, swing chords, jamming skills, lead playing or fingerstyle work. Take this class multiple times. The repertoire changes every time.

GUITAR 4
Now that you've completed Guitar 1 - 3, you are ready to start playing as an ensemble and focus on singing and musicianship. Work on harmonies, arrangements, solo breaks and performing together. Students can bring in
songs to be picked by the group to perform. Bass players and other instruments also welcome. Students can repeat this class endlessly; the material always changes.

BLUES ENSEMBLE - Back by Popular Demand!
Play in a blues band and cover the legends like Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughn and more. Learn multi-layered arrangements solo and figure out how to find your part in a relaxed environment. All instruments welcome, including vocalists and horns. Every session explores new music and

CAGED FRETBOARD
Simplify the guitar fretboard with the CAGED system. Visualize chord
patterns, scales, and how they link together on the entire neck using the
chords C, A, G, E, and D. Solo better, compliment other musicians,
accompany yourself and others, and play new arrangements of songs.
Demystify the theory of the fretboard in an accessible, visual way.

GUITAR SETUP AND MAINTENANCE
Learn how to keep your guitar playing well. Bring a set of strings and we
will re-string your guitar. Then learn how to set it up to make sure
it's playing properly. Basic adjustments of truss rods, fretboard
cleaning and
maintenance will be covered.
